i always love the female charries after i joined TPOSA (check it out!) i thouth it about it more
and notice that in every famdom atleast 1 girl is so hated..cause she`s a whore or a slut 0_0..
i also notice when ever a boy charater did something wrong or stupid nowone complained ..
but when a female character did it everyone complained..and when a female charater did nothing stupid then she stampled as a Marry sue...
it makes me sad to see girls fight for boy charaters in such childlish way..and draw Kill art..
how can a person become so atach to a non real charater and become so extreme into hating one?
IT ALSO makes me sad to see Yaoi fangirls bash girl charaters as well..
there is already so much disctration against woman in the world let it become the same on the Net

I joined not only because a friend of mine founded this club but because it's something I feel strongly about. In all fandoms female characters get bashed, usually more then males, for the silliest of reasons and I like to defend them. In the two main fandoms I'm part of Yu-Gi-Oh and Sonic there are many examples of this. The YGO fandom is mainly centred around yaoi, which means that while fans are considerably more open-minded in male/male pairings then other fandoms, quite a lot the female characters tend to get bashed as they get in the way of the male characters being together. While the Sonic fanbase is spread over so many universes that the newer fans tend to be confused by the older series and instantly hate any female character who used to be paired with one of the main males in the older series without knowing anything about them. But this need not be the case in either fanbase. If the yaoi fans don't like the girls they should leave them alone. I am a huge fan of YGO yaoi and don't let that stop me loving the female characters. And if new Sonic fans don't know about the older characters then they can simply choose to ignore them instead of bashing something they know nothing about. I'm sure similar terms could apply to other fandoms besides these two.


I joined because I'm got totally sick and tired of seeing all these poor women being bashed for all the wrong reasons.
There are too many fangirls out there talking about" Kairi's such a sl**" "Sally is such a wh***"and "Terra's such a b**** and all of that nonsense.

Hardly anyone out there has any GOOD reasons for hating these girls. All they can come up with are reasons like "they stole someone from someone". I hate that, especially when those girls had those people FIRST! There are too many people out there who dedicate their life, time and talent to haitng someone who does not even exist. And for the stupidest reasons!


Lately I noticed how bad it was, and that pulled me to join the club. Yeah... well, I'm mainly in the fandom for Sonic, so I know a fair bit about girls getting bashed there. I'm a huge fan of Cosmo from Sonic X and Sally from Sonic SatAM for example. Out of all the females, I still think those two get the worst treatment. Why are they hated? Because couple purists don't like them "interfering" with a couple they like. I hardly see the males in the series get this treatment (I've only seen Sonic and Knuckles bashed for this reason), yet the females get it so often it hurts. The scary fact is that every female has the potential to be hated for bad reasons. Everyone seems to point out what the girls do wrong and hate them for it, yet when a male makes the mistake, they choose to shrug and ignore it. And as *hikaritail said, if girls do nothing wrong, they're labelled as Mary-Sues so you cannot really win. Another female I notice fair bits of hatred around is Sora from Digimon, mainly by Tai/Matt fans. So Sora is not a good enough character on her own? Do all the males have to get awat with everything, while the females suffer? I only have one word for that; SEXIST. :/


I joined because of the silly reasons mostly female characters are hated. I mean, it is one thing to dislike a character (Personally, I don't like a few) but hating and drawing pictures of the character dead in a pool of blood is rediculous. Common reasons why it seems mostly female characters are hated are because or rabid fangirls. For example, in the Sonic fandom, some rabid Shadow fangirls hate Rouge because Shadow/Rouge is a popular couple. Also, some people hate characters involved in love triangles for getting in the way of their preffered couple. For example, again in the Sonic fandom, some Sonic/Amy fans hate Sally because she was in a relationship with Sonic. That is pretty stupid. The mentioned Mary-Sue thing is also true. If a character doesn't have any big flaws, that doesn't makle them 'erfect'. They would be perfect if they were the richet girl in the world, fastest, smartest, ect.


I joined because I am so sick and tired of having to see every single female character in every single fandom get bashed for the stupidest of reasons. Most of those reasons of them hating the female characters is because the female characters get in the way of a relationship of either another existing female characters and the male characters or they just want the male single so that the fangirls can steal away the male character.

For example:

Full Metal Alchemist: Fangirls LOVE Edward Elric. Then comes Winry Rockbell. They HATE Winry..why? Because she might be a possible girlfriend of Ed! OH NO!!11!! : O

Whether you like a character or dislike a character is about the personality of a character, not because of couples.

This goes with all anime fandoms out there. I mean, it's okay to hate a female character because she may be whiny, annoying or bitchy as her personality, but not to the extent where they only hate her just because she "steals" a sexy male official character and they get together. It's also very sexist that fans would stoop this low to degrade a female character just because of the "couple interference" reasons.


I joined because I'm tired of people bashing all these girls that shouldn't be bashed for these
stupid reasons. Lots of extremists have hated characters just because they interfer with
other pairings. I've haven't seen many people bash boys for that reason.

Next, people judge things just on these people's looks. People call Rouge a s*** all the time, and
I get upset when I see it, because Rouge isn't at all. People call Sally a wh*** just because she
doesn't wear much clothes. It happens a lot more with girls then with boys.

Are people really going to hate Amy because she's pink? Are people going to hate Sally because
she wears little clothes, and Rouge because her clothes look different from the other girls?
Do people hate Espio becauses he's purple. Or hate Tails because of this two tails? No, or at
least, not a whole lot, and I'm tired of it.

People think female characters are useless just because they're girls. Well, that's wrong! I hate it when people hate other female characters because they're in love with someone they love, or because they're "naked," or because thier friends hate them.

Take Sally Acorn for example, she has to be one of the most hated Sonic characters just for stupid reasons. I'm a fan of Sally Acorn, and I take pity on them. Most people hate Sally because she dosen't wear clothes, or she "interferes" with Sonamy, or because they say she's a "bitch." People don't understand what things most female characters go through, such as a horrible past, or the angst that's always inside them. I don't know why people think men are better than women, that's just sexist. I believe that women are just as good as men and they should have an even chance as men. Some people just can't stand the fact that some women are independant. It's not like it's against the law for them to do that. I, for one feel insulted that women can't be treated as well as men. My point is, don't hate someone because of couples, or thier actions, or any of that stupid stuff. If you're gonna hate someone, hate them for what they really are, not for any of that stupid background crap.


I'm so sick of girls getting bashed for the most wrong reasons. Almost everywhere I go I see someone that hates Sakura, Hinata, Ino, Temari, or Tenten, and it's seriously getting annoying. I'm a Fire Emblem geek, and I have a firey love for Lyon in Seima. But I don't hate Eirika at all because of it. I have a few friends that bash female characters, and I do myself, but I think anyone that bashes as horribly as I've seen is just wrong. Some females have sad pasts, and don't deserve the torment. Nuff said.


My reasons for joining are pretty much the same as everyone else's reasons. I'm a bit fed up with the sexism in fandoms where they easily fogive a male if he does something wrong (usually because he's "hot"), but if a female does something wrong, she's automatically condemned as a monster. Characters like Princess Sally, Haruno Sakura, and Kikyo are great examples of being flamed by hypocritical fan-nuts for being mean, yet they'll forgive the guys for acting bad so easily.

I'm also sick of people hating female characters just because they're not as powerful as the men. How unfair is that? I mean, do THEY have superpowers? Should we all call THEM weak and useless? Of course not!

It doesn't stop there either. Female characters are also unfairly condemned for the way they dress; just to give them an excuse to call them sluts. Take Tifa, for example. Girls hate her because her breasts are big, and because she wears a miniskirt. I don't really like her outfit that much myself, but why does her miniskirt automatically label her as a slut? A slut is girl who goes around and sleep s with every guy she meets and doesn't care who gets hurt or not in the process. Tifa does nothing of the sort.

Couples fanatics don't make it any better. There are way too many examples to list here, but I will say this: these fangirls are completely unfair to some female characters. They always fight over who the guy really loves, who's nicer, who's better in battle, who's more "slutty" and so on. Couples fanatics also usually choose a Mary-sue over the flawed female. In my opinion, it's like they're saying you have to be flawless to have a good relationship--you and your man have to be in perfect balance. I don't buy into any of that. There's no such thing as a perfect girl, and there's no such thing as a perfect couple. People can still fall and love and have their flaws and differences.

Personally, I don't think all Mary-sues are bad. Some of them still have certain flaws that I wouldn't hold as endearing; and some even have some depth into them, but I still think it's unfair how that kind of female character automatically must have the guy just because she's "morally better" than the flawed girl. It's just too sad.

Of course, the Mary-sue concept is not always liked by fanboys & fangirls alike. If the female character acts too nice and has little flaws, she's automatically condemned as a Mary-sue. Yet, when I guy acts very nice and has good morals... Well, you know the rest. Sometimes, he'll get called Gary-stu, but... I rarely see it happen.

It's really sad to see that many of these sexists are girls themselves, too. Such a shame that they attack their own kind for flaws they are guilty of themselves... All that sexism for dashing, handsome male character... I like male characters myself, but fangirls just take it way too far!


I joined because Even though i'm a boy, I still think that females really do need more love, in games and anime. It really annoys me when some basher suddenly comes and says " ZOMGDISFEEMALETEHSUXBECUZBLAHBLAHBLAH!!!11 " As it ruins it for everyone. Sure, every female has their weak points, but they have their strong points too, and they should not get bashed just for something they can't do well. I'm not saying you cannot dislike a female (I dislike a few myself) But to go as far as bashing them is just not right. I tend to be in protection of Sally Acorn and Cosmo as these two get bashed a lot from Sonamy and Taiream extremists. I'm not a fan of Taiream and like Taismo, but I don't go around flaming people about it, do I?

To sum it up in a short sentance, I joined because of all the idiots who bash females for the stupidest resons ever.


I see mostly anti-clubs are females, and I think it is wrong. I don't get why people hate female characters. Female characters maybe a little weak, complaining a lot, mean, useless, too flitty/fangirlish, etc., but they are not always like that. Like Cosmo from Sonic X. She is like those reasons, but in the end she gave up her life for all of her friend, but she still gets hated, even after that. The past is over and now it's time to go on to the furture. Now the new character from Sonic, Elise is starting to get haters as well (by mostly SonAmy fans). Kill art is also getting way too immauture. I see mostly female characters getting killed by the guy they like and by fans. By the way, the most ammount of people I know on DA are mostly females, that might show that some girls like to kill there own gender and not be proud of a women being a women.


I joined because I'm so sick of listening to immature little fangirls/boys complaining about every little flaw they discover in the female characters in anime/manga/games. Every human being makes mistakes! I'm sure they themselves do all the time. Does that mean they deserve to die too?

It's so annoying when your searching for fanart on deviantart of female characters and half of them are pictures of that character being slaughtered! Then their only reasons are: cause she's a slut, a bitch, etc. I mean c'mon we know none of these girls are like that.

Every time I pair a girl up with a popular guy from an anime series, I'm constantly bombarded with hate mail and flames just because they feel jealous. Their fictional characters! It's supposed to be fun!

Yaoi fangirls are a prime example of this. I like it myself but they often instantly go after any female characters just because she "gets in the way."



I'm a big fan of female characters.

Though, all hearing about killz art on them for stupid reasons isn't mature.

I mean, they like to touture girl characters. If the hater is a girl, then that make her somewhat a hypocrite.

It's so dumb. I mean, just because some of your friends doesn't mean you should to. That makes you a freakin' sheep.

Now, I can't stand Mary Sues. They make every female character look bad. And started a sterotype that girl characters must be sues.

And the people that hate them without giving a reason, is just as dumb as giving a dumb one.

Don't get me wrong, I hate a fair share of gril characters (Heather from TDI and Miss Jewels from the Wayside cartoon mainly), but I leave them alone.

The only good reason to hate a female character is her personality. Not for their voice, apperence, for your OTP interference, and for having a Sue quoatea.

! Although she could be bossy at times she needed to be the one to keep her head when characters like Jounouchi or Honda got a crazy idea. Plus, if you had to hang around with that many boys you might get annoyed with them too. XD
! Yugi and Yami Yugi talked about friendship just as much as she did.

* The true reason she's hated is because she likes Jounouchi and is a strong female duelist.
- Fans hate her because they say she's slutty because of her appearance.
! Although she dressed rather revealing Mai never acted like a slut in the series. It was Varon who was after her not the other way around so she didn't cause the love triangle.
! Would it be fair for all the good duelists to be male? If that were the case you'd be complaining they were sexist.

! Shizuka has no interaction with Kaiba. It's not her fault if fans like to pair her up with him.

! She changed a lot during the Doma series. She matured and became a very strong girl for her age.

! Her character was never meant to be taken seriously, perhaps she was there so the writers could have a laugh at fangirls.

*Since in the anime she had a relationship with Priest Seth fans hate her, ignoring the manga version of her story.
! It was mainly in the anime that she became a love interest for Priest Seth. In the manga she was the Blues Eyes White Dragon trapped in a human body.

- Fans say they hate her because she was mean to Honda all the time.
! Though Miho did use Honda's crush to her advantage from time to time the two did have a good friendship and there was evidence she cared for him, so she was nice to him sometimes.

! If it's so bothersome, then watch the dub or don't watch the S/Sailor Stars season at all. Besides, you should like/dislike a character for his/her personality, not because of sexuality.

! And yet she was protective of Usagi at times and cared about Michiru even before they got into a relationship. Sure, she may be a little cold sometimes, but if she were truly mean, she wouldn't care about others at all.
-She tried to kill Hotaru-chan.
! It's not like she wanted to do it in cold blood. They just knew no other way to save the world. They didn't know any better. It may not have been right idea (since Hotaru is an innocent girl), but Haruka didn't know what else to do. In the end, Sailor Moon saved everyone, including Hotaru, so why not just move on?

! What people tend to forget is how deeply Inuyasha and Kikyo were in love, to the point where Inuyasha promised to use the Shikon Jewel to become human. They're love was destroyed by Naraku, and she never knew the full truth about what happened, and she still thinks Inuyasha betrayed her. Inuyasha, however, knows the full truth and thus feels responsible for her death, explaining why he thinks about her so much. Now that Kikyo is alive, however, all she wants is revenge on Inuyasha, but remember she still doesn't know the truth, so you can't blame her for her pain, as well as Inuyasha's.
! What if you felt responsible for the death of your sweetheart? Could you let go of his/her memory completely and move on in an instant? Well neither can Inuyasha, despite how much he obviously cares for Kagome.
! Kagome was reincarnated with part of Kikyo's soul, so if you hate Kikyo, you might as well hate Kagome too. As for her "interference" with Inuyasha and Kagome, I doubt anyone could easily let go of someone they deeply love. She thought Inuyasha betrayed her when Naraku posed as him, so of course she'd be angry. Despite this, they do seem to still care for each other.

The only thing this is based on is her past, and she's not exactly the only one in the series with an angsty backstory.

*Fans hate her because she has a crush on Juudai, Manjoume has/had a crush on her and she is close to Ryo.
- They say she's mean to everyone.
! Asuka is one of the very few female characters in the series. Given their isn't that much option it makes sense that a lot of the romance related aspects of the plot would revolve around her.
! While she does seem to have feelings for Juudai she hasn't (To my knowledge) made any attempt to confront him about this, she made it clear to Manjoume she wasn't interested in him and while there is evidence for Ryo/Asuka it's mainly fans' opinions and not official. Therefore she's not getting in the way of any pairings you might support.
! She's sensible, not mean. Often sensible characters come across as mean because they question the motives of a main character when they do something thoughtless.


DNAngel

Riku:

* She gets in the way of other pairings involving Dark or Daisuke.
* She can make Risa look bad during the plot.
- She's too forceful with Daisuke.
- She doesn't care for Dark's feelings.
! The series is very open for pairings. While Daisuke/Riku became canon the author was very open-minded with shonen-ai pairings and likes them herself. Maybe it'd pay to be more open-minded yourselves.
! Sometimes Risa has her head in the clouds and disregards others feelings, and Daisuke needs a push to get him to pursue things in his life. Riku is just the person who helps them out of it.
! Dark's a perv. If you had a perv hitting on you wouldn't you be a bit shocked?

Risa:

* She had a romantic involvement with Dark.
- She ignored Daisuke's feelings for her.
- She's ignorant.
! While her and Dark were involved at some point they called off their relationship for mature reasons and she was moving on at the end of the series.
! While she was a bit rude towards Daisuke's feelings at the beginning of the manga it would have hurt him more if she'd pretended to like him when she didn't.
! Her character improved and matured greatly over the episodes. It's called development.

One Piece

Nami
- She betrayed the Straw Hats
* Sanji really likes her and she only uses him
! You can't force someone to like somebody and hey, who knows, one day she might like him, she may never like him, it's her life, you can't control it!
* Sanji fangirls hate her because he likes Nami
! Sanji loves EVERY girl in One Piece, plus, Nami dosen't love Sanji, and I doubt she ever will like Sanji
- She's weak
! Puh-leese! She's stronger than Usopp, a GUY! And she's pretty strong, I mean, she's beaten up bad guys by herself from time to time
- She's mean to Luffy
! She's not mean to him all the time, plus Luffy's a strong guy, he can take Nami's little slaps any day

! So, a girl has to be pretty in order to be liked? That's just dumb. I like people for more than just looks, but also personality, interests, etc.

! Not entirely everything, but Vivi's not a very strong person

! Again, Sanji likes every girl he meets! Vivi never shown any romantic interest in him back, so what's the big deal?

* She's a model and actress. And she has shinigami eyes and has the other death note. A shinigami once fell for her.
- Therefore, is a Mary-Sue
! Yes, sure, she's a model and actress. But when she's not being filmed and signing autographs, she's a realistic, teenage girl. The whole shinigami falling for her is to easily find out how a shinigami dies.
! Okay, so she has shinigami eyes. She'd be a Mary-Sue if she was born with them. But she didn't. Remember the deal of exchanging half of what's left of the lifespan for them. Yeah, Misa took that deal.
- She interferes with Light and L's "love" relationship.
! Classic reason. Girl gets in the way of make-believe gay romance. Gets old really fast.
- She's stupid!
! She's not stupid. First of all, she may have done a few mistakes while hiding that she's the second Kira, but that's because she's not as good of a criminal as Light. IT'S A FLAW. That encourages the fact she isn't a Mary-sue. Also, it's not like she knew that her room would be under investigation. Besides, if she really were stupid, she would have left fingerprints on the tapes she requested to broadcast. But what's this? She KNOWS that she wouldn't leave fingerprints. *gasp*
- She's a whore.
! She's a model people. Of course she'd be taken pictures wearing certain things. That doesn't make her a whore. She said so herself that she doesn't want naked pictures of herself to be taken. If it's the kiss she gave L when she was still with Light that we're talking about, it was on the cheek. It's just a friendly affectionate kiss. We give it to each other all the time. Plus, Light went on 'dates' with a few girls in a week. Well now, doesn't that make him more like a whore? If it's about Misa's outfits she gets into after she got engaged/moved together with Light, think about it. That's what married young girls wear in the house nowadays.
- She's just a stupid fangirl.
! If your family was brutually murdered, and that murderer was killed by a mysterious person who goes by an alias, you'd more than likely worship him/her until you die.
- She's useless.
! She has been aware of that from the start. But really, she isn't. She helps Raito as much as she can, tries her best to be very useful. Heck, she traded half of her life for shinigami eyes for the second time, just for Raito.
* She's an airhead.
! It's called a flaw, ladies and gentlemen. No one is perfect. Besides, Matsuda isn't that much smarter than she is, but he doesn't get hated for that.
- She messed everything up!
! Mikami messed up much more than she did. Why doesn't he get hated for that?
- She thinks she can have Light whenever she wants.
! Tell me when in the anime/manga has Misa sulk in a corner with a mischievious smile and rubbbing palms together and say "Raito gonna be around my finger...". Never. Just because she glomps Light and all that doesn't make her think she can have him whenever she wants.
- she isn't mature enough to realize that both her & Light are putting their LIVES on the line.
! Okay, now you really haven't read/watch Death Note, haven't you? Or you just see Misa's love for Light to see that she has been fully aware of that since the very beginning. :/ If anything, if she wasn't aware of it, Light would have been much lesser aware of that, due to being too preoccupied to wanting to become a "God of the New World".

! The series has always been dramatic.

! Her telepathy helps on missions. She's not a great pilot like Fox or Falco, but she holds her own very well.

! Again, she's very useful on missions. Yes, there is a romantic relationship between her and Fox, but there's more to Krystal then just being Fox's arm candy.
- She has no personality.
! Krystal has a personality; she's kind yet mysterious, but a little stubborn.
